Our mission.

The Thrive Initiative aims to spread awareness about mental health by fostering discussions to help erase the stigma around mental health and providing educational resources for teens to enhance their mental well-being. We hope to inspire a generation of mental health advocates that will continue to spark the same conversations.

Meet The Co-Founders

COOPER KLEIN

Cooper is 17 years old and lives in Los Angeles. She is extremely passionate about mental health, especially in the fields of neuroscience, eating disorders, depression, and body image. Cooper is certified in Body Positivity and is the youngest Certified Intuitive Eating Group Facilitator in the world. She has taken Introductory Psychology and Abnormal Psychology at UCLA as well as the Science of Well-Being at Yale. Cooper is also a volunteer at TeenLine, a teen to teen crisis hotline. In her spare time she loves playing the piano, meditating, and journaling.

LAUREN FUCHS

Lauren is 17 years old and lives in Los Angeles. She is extremely passionate about mental health, especially working to eliminate the stigma around mental health illnesses. Some topics that she is particularly interested in and which her work involves include body image and positivity, especially surrounding social media, as well as depression and meditation and mindfulness. She hopes to soon become a certified meditation instructor so that she can share her love for the practice and help to heal people. In her spare time, Lauren is taking the Science of Well-Being course at Yale and is eager to continue to learn about psychology and mental health.
